The Connecticut Athletic Trainers' Association (CATA) strives to improve the quality of health care for athletes, patients and clients and enhance the profession of Athletic Training, through leadership, education, and cooperative efforts with other organizations and allied health professions.

AED Resource Guide Available
August 26, 2009

The CATA and American Heart Association have developed an AED Resource Guide to assist schools who are implementing public access defibrillation programs and developing sudden cardiac arrest emergency response plans in accordance with Public Act 09-94, which requires schools to have at least one AED accessible before and after the school day. Information on purchasing AEDs, fundraising ideas, and emergency response plan resources are included.
